Our subscription to the BYKI (Before You Know It) online language learning system has ended. Thanks to funding from the Friends of Beebe Library, we are pleased that we will be able to offer Mango Languages as a replacement. Mango offers similar interactive learning to help you build speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in many foreign languages as well as English as a Second Language. For access to Mango see below:
Thanks to funding from the Friends of Beebe Library, we are pleased to offer Mango Languages. Mango offers interactive learning to help you build speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in many foreign languages as well as English as a Second Language. Mango replaces our subscription to the BYKI (Before You Know It) online language learning system. You can access Mango from the library or at home. From home or elsewhere you will need to log in with your NOBLE library card number. From there you can create your own free personal login which will allow you to track your progress as you learn.
Governor Deval Patrick has announced that federal aid will become available to Massachusetts individuals and businesses hardest hit by the most recent flooding events. The assistance was authorized under a Major Federal Disaster Declaration issued by President Barack Obama after a review of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s analysis of Governor Patrick’s request for federal assistance for those most impacted by the flooding beginning on March 12, 2010 and continuing.

As part of the OverDrive downloadable collection provided by the NOBLE network, Beebe Library patrons can now access a selection of recent fiction and nonfiction e-books through our digital collection. You can use your library card to check e-books out and download them to your computer using free Adobe Digital Editions software. You can read the books on your computer, or transfer them to a supported e-book reader like the Sony Reader or the Barnes and Noble Nook. Other devices should be supported soon.
