Inspiration:Joseph Stella
Join Kidcasso’s, Laura-Marie Small, for an abstract look at famed Italian-born- American Artist, Joseph Stella. Known as a, “Futurist”, Stella captured America’s industrial boom of the 1920’s through a variety of abstract paintings centered around the growth and change of America’s urban structure. We will discuss the painting, Brooklyn Bridge, c.1919-1920, and create our own unique watercolor paintings.

Inspiration: Romare Bearden
Let the artist in you shine and join Kidcasso’s, Laura-Marie Small, for a workshop inspired by American Artist, Romare Bearden. His career was greatly inspired by his cultural experiences, personal heritage, and urban surroundings. While he practiced and studied many artistic mediums and styles, he is best known for his textured collages. We will observe the works of Bearden, including, The Dove, 1964 and create one-of-a-kind textural collage inspired by our own heritage and community.

Norman Rockwell is an American Icon. He captured our truest and most personal moments through his paintings. Kidcasso’s, Laura- Marie Small, invites you to remember and reflect upon a moment in your life that holds great importance. Bring with you a variety of photographs of this time/moment as they will be our guide and inspiration for our project. We will be creating a “life-quilt” of our own special moments and personal history.
