Join Kidcasso’s, Laura-Marie Small, for an abstract look at famed   Italian-born- American Artist, Joseph Stella.  Known as a,    “Futurist”, Stella captured America’s industrial boom of the  1920’s  through a variety of abstract paintings centered around the  growth and  change of America’s urban structure.  We will discuss  the painting,  Brooklyn Bridge, c.1919-1920, and create our own  unique watercolor  paintings.

Inspiration: Romare Bearden

Let the artist in you shine and join Kidcasso’s, Laura-Marie  Small,  for a workshop inspired by American Artist, Romare  Bearden.  His  career was greatly inspired by his cultural  experiences, personal  heritage, and urban surroundings.  While he  practiced and studied many  artistic mediums and styles, he is best  known for his textured  collages.   We will observe the works of  Bearden, including, The Dove,  1964 and create one-of-a-kind  textural collage inspired by our own  heritage and community.

Inspiration: Norman Rockwell

Norman Rockwell is an American Icon.  He captured our truest and  most  personal moments through his paintings.  Kidcasso’s, Laura- Marie  Small, invites you to remember and reflect upon a moment in  your life  that holds great importance.  Bring with you a variety  of photographs  of this time/moment as they will be our guide and  inspiration for our  project.  We will be creating a “life-quilt”  of our own special  moments and personal history.
