Book Discussion Groups

Beebe Library has three ongoing book discussion groups:

Books by the Lake combines the enjoyment of reading a single title and the desire to share insights, observations, and feelings about that one book with others who have read it. Books by the Lake meets on the third Wednesday evening of each month at 7:30 pm and is run by Leane Ellis (ellis@noblenet.org) of the Reference Department.

Supper Sleuths, a mystery discussion group, meets the second Tuesday evening of the month at 6:00pm to discuss mysteries of every genre and type. Feel free to bring your own snack or brown bag lunch with you to the meeting. This group is also run by Leane Ellis (ellis@noblenet.org) of the Reference Department.

At the Book Chat (Senior Center Book Group) a discussion of the month’s title is followed by chat about new releases and reviews of attendees’ current reading. It is hosted by Catherine McDonald (cmcdonal@noblenet.org) and Jackie Strycharz (strycharz@noblenet.org) and meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:30 am in the Trustees Room.

True Writ is Beebe’s newest book group and focuses on nonfiction titles.  Some months will assign a single title for discussion, other times there will be a common theme with a list of suggested books from which participants can choose.  True Writ meets the first Monday of every month at 7:00pm and is run by Jackie Strycharz (strycharz@noblenet.org) of the Reference Department.
