Have you dreamed of taking a closer look at the moon? Or Mars? Or Venus? Now you can!
With funding provided by the Wakefield Rotary Club, the Library is pleased to circulate an Orion Starblast telescope to Wakefield residents interested in learning more about the night sky.
This opportunity comes to us through the Aldrich Astronomical Society, based in Paxton, MA, and their Library Telescope Program. Their goal is to help foster scientific literacy, stimulate an interest in astronomy, and provide people who have never looked through a telescope the chance to experience the excitement that comes from discovery. They have partnered with public libraries to make telescopes accessible to more of the public.
