On Wednesday evening, October 26, Children’s Librarian Holly Turner welcomed children with a Trick or Treat Story Time. They listened to stories and poems, learned songs and made a craft. Click here to view the slideshow. This is the first in a series of story times that meets Wednesdays at 6:30. Please note that the library is closed on November 23 at 5:00. There will be no Story Time that evening.
Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 6:30 for children ages 5 and under in the Lecture Hall.
Costumes encouraged!
Meet Holly Turner, our newest Children’s Librarian, and share an evening of stories, songs, and spooky surprises. This is the first in a series of Wednesday evening Family Story Times.
Come to the Youth Room and recite a spooky poem to a librarian and receive a Halloween Treat. Poems must be as many lines long as you are old. For example, a seven-year-old must recite a poem that is at least seven lines long.
The contest begins Monday, October 24 and ends Monday, October 31.
Children get a special surprise when they get their very first
library card at Beebe Library. Patrons can get library cards
on the first floor at the Circulation Desk. Children are invited
to the Youth Room to celebrate this landmark moment.
Don’t be surprised if other patrons join in the fun, too!
