Blake GalleryThe Blake Gallery, located on the Main Floor of the library near the Reference Desk, was donated by Gwenn Therrien in memory of her husband, Mike Blake, a long-time member of the Friends of Beebe Library and an avid supporter of the library.   The area was designed by local interior designer Cheryl Webb Scott, who designed much of the rest of the library interior as well.

The Blake Gallery is home to several regular programs including News & Views and our nonfiction book discussion group, True Writ.  It’s also perfect for small art displays! If you’re a local artist, group, or teacher who’s interested in displaying your or your students’ work at the library for a few weeks, please contact the Reference Department at 781-246-6334 x2 or email us at email@wakefieldlibrary.org. We’ll be happy to discuss the space with you to see if it meets your needs.

Currently on display in the Blake Gallery:  Watercolors of Indian life by Wakefield artist Maya Jacob.
