The Young Adult Advisory Board is open to all kids in middle and high school. This is your chance to come and tell us what programs and events you’d like to see aimed at young adults! Each month, we’ll have pizza, snacks and soda. We’ll discuss upcoming events, plan future programs and talk about your ideas. We’ll also brainstorm ways to promote programs and I’m always taking book suggestions. Sometimes, I’ll ask for direct help in running a program, especially if it’s of special interest, such as the June Games of Chance & Luck Night. Everyone who attends can get community service hours for their Advisory Board time.
As of right now, the Advisory Board meets once a month on a Wednesday at 4:00pm.
If you know any other teens who are interested, you’re welcome to invite them along. Just make sure to let Casey know, so she can get enough food. I’m particularly looking for experts in: manga/anime, Minecraft and robotics at the moment, but love any and all input.
If you have any questions or are interested in attending, please don’t be afraid to contact Casey, the Young Adult librarian, at 781-246-6334 ext. 3 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Register to attend by clicking the dates below.
