New DVDs at Library

Beebe Library continues to add the latest titles to its collection of feature films on DVD. Here are just a few of the latest movies available at Beebe Library.

300 is a new “graphic novel” style film by director Frank Miller (“Sin City”) featuring a blend of live action and CGI animation.

Blades of Glory follows two male figure skaters (Will Ferrell and Jon Heder) through a preposterous story line in this silly comedy. Also featuring Saturday Night Live’s Amy Poehler.

In Georgia Rule, Rachel (Lindsay Lohan) comes to stay with her grandmother (Jane Fonda) and reveals a secret that upsets her family and the town.

Hot Fuzz stars Jim Broadbent and Timothy Dalton in a comedy about a London cop who is so good at his job that he is transferred out of town because he makes the other cops look bad.

Chris Rock stars in “I Think I Love My Wife,” a movie about a buttoned down money manager who seeks escape from his stifling marriage.

In “Kickin’ It Old Skool” a break dance fanatic’s moves leave him in a 20-year coma. When he awakes, he seeks out his old associates for a second chance at stardom. Starring Jamie Kennedy and Eric Estrada.

“Pandemic” is a drama about a 19 year-old male who dies mysteriously on an airline flight, triggering fears of bird flu and biological terrorism. Starring Tiffani Amber Theissen and French Stewart.

Murder leads to a dangerous game of cat and mouse in “Perfect Stranger,” starring Halle Berry and Bruce Willis.

Mark Wahlberg and Danny Glover star in “Shooter,” a political thriller about a marksman hired to foil an assassination.

“Smokin’ Aces” is an action/comedy about a rogue’s gallery of killers on the hunt for a mob informer.

David Strathairn stars in “Steel Toes,” a drama about a Jewish public defender assigned to represent a Neo-Nazi skinhead at trial.

Paid assassins populate “The Contract,” an action film starring John Cusack and Morgan Freeman.

You may rent feature film DVDs at Beebe Library for $1 a week. Rental fees are used toward the purchase of new DVDs. The library’s regular budget does not fund this collection.
