Wednesday, March 14 – Two Sessions: 3:30 pm and 6:45 pm

Debby Irving, a racial justice educator and author of Waking up White: And Finding Myself in the Story of Race from right next door in Winchester, presents this workshop (note: there are two sessions – the second one is at 6:45) that looks at why, for white people, being part of the “normal” race can interfere with our understanding of racism.

In conjunction with this event we will be reading Irving’s book. A discussion of the book will be held in February’s installment of True Writ, our non-fiction book group, which will meet on March 12.
