Celebrate Halloween at Beebe Library Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010

Pumpkin Display - 2009Join the “Fright Night” fun at Beebe Library on Thursday, October 28, 2010 beginning at 6 p.m.
Once again, art students from Wakefield High School will be displaying their elaborately carved pumpkins on the front steps of Beebe Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
At 6:45 p.m. the WHS Marching Band’s “Halloween Parade” will march from Wakefield Common down Main Street past the pumpkin display at the Library to the Americal Civic Center.
The library will also sponsor a Halloween concert for pre-school age kids in the Lecture hall at 6 p.m. Costumes are encouraged. The concert will last approximately 40 minutes so the kids will be out in time to see the parade and enjoy the carved pumpkins on the library steps. Continue »

A Halloween Tie-Dye program brought kids of all ages who created colorful T-shirts for Halloween. The evening of October 30, 2008 brought the 9th Annual Carved Jack-o’-lantern display on the front stairs and plaza of Beebe Library in Wakefield, Massachusetts. The display represents the work of Wakefield High School art students and Art Club members. The event draws bigger crowds each year.

Jack o Lantern Display
The Ninth Annual Carved Jack-o’-Lantern display will be Thursday, October 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. on the steps of the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library, 345 Main Street, Wakefield, MA. Carved pumpkins created by Wakefield High School art students and Art Club members will be the feature of this event. Stop by on Thursday night to get into the spirit of Halloween. Students will light the candles shortly before 6 o’clock. Anyone who is interested in taking part in this event can bring his or her own carved pumpkin to add to the display.
