National Geographic Kids Cookbook: A Year-Round FUN Food Adventure
Ages 6-10 with an adult
Sign up online.

Cook with a parent, a grandparent, a babysitter, or a friend! Share time in the kitchen and then share cooked creations during a library potluck. Work together to improve cooking skills, learn how to evaluate cookbooks, and test new recipes.

Each month, borrow a copy of the selected cookbook or photocopy your chosen recipe at the library. This month’s book is also available digitally through Overdrive. Avoid duplicating recipes by completing the online form or by letting the librarians know what you will bring at the Reference or Youth Desk. During the meeting, sample everyone’s dishes, discuss your experience with the cookbook, and participate in related activities. A microwave and oven are available for reheating! Please bring serving bowls and utensils; flatware and paper goods will be provided. Be sure to come hungry!

* Because this event is a potluck, public health agencies do not inspect the food or the facilities. You can find food safety tips here.
