There are many ways to support Beebe Library in its mission of serving the community, and gifts to the library enjoy the same favorable tax treatment as donations to charitable organizations. If you would like to consult with the Library Director about a gift, please call the Administration Office at 781-246-6335.

If you are considering mentioning Beebe Library in your will, we suggest the following language:

Friends of Beebe Library is an active nonprofit group dedicated to supporting the library building, collections, and programs through membership, fundraising, and events.

Since their formation in 1972, Friends have contributed furnishing and equipment and funded museum passes, the summer reading program, and rental collections of popular materials. Their major fundraiser is the book sale held annually on the first Saturday in June.

Friends of Beebe Library offer library-themed goods, such as book bags, umbrellas, and local honey, for sale at the Circulatio Desk. All sales benefit the library.

The Friends also maintain an Everyday Book Sale on the shelves flanking the lower-level Main Street staircase in Fiction. This browsable collection changes frequently, with quality titles available for $2 or less.

The library relies on volunteers for book mending, homebound delivery, and shelf cleaning and organizing, among other occasional tasks. A list of the current opportunities, application forms, and volunteer guidelines can be found at the information board next to Reference. Questions about volunteering may be directed to the Assistant Director at 781-246-6334 x 6556 or by email at powers@noblenet.org.
