When rain and snowmelt run off paved surfaces, where do they end up? Water running into storm drains does not flow into storage treatment facilities; it drains directly into waterways. Through this interactive program Wakefield residents will discover what stormwater is, how it can be managed, and how people can help reduce stormwater pollution.
Claire Moss, Stormwater/Project Manager and Elaine Vreeland, Conservation Agent from the Wakefield Department of Public Works bring us this kid-friendly (ages 10 and up) explanation of how we can all make a difference to our waterways.
