During the summer of 2023, the Wakefield Food Pantry, along with the help of the Scouts of Wakefield, set up four Little Free Pantries around town. You can deposit and pick up dry goods at any time of day.
Little Free Pantry Locations:
Wakefield Town Hall – 1 Lafayette Street

First Baptist Church – Common Street Construction (corner of Lafayette and Common Street)

Most Blessed Sacrament Parish – 1155 Main Street
First United Methodist Church – 273 Vernon Street
The Little Free Pantry located in front of the First Baptist Church building site on Common Street is currently the most active and could use help replenishing stock. Here is a list of suggested Little Free Pantry donations:

In addition to the Little Free Pantries, there are Wakefield Food Pantry drop off locations where dry goods may be donated. There is a drop box at the Civic Center (467 Main Street) on the lower level entrance by the Boys & Girls Club. Donations may also be made at the library, in the vestibule at our Avon Street entrance. `Items other than dry goods (such as cleaning supplies, feminine products, etc.) may be dropped off at the pantry during open hours: Tuesday, Thursday 9:00-1:00 and Thursday 6:30-7:30.
